📍 東大阪市 Bay Waterfront Arena, 東大阪市
August 14–17, 2026 · Gates Open 10AM Daily
Welcome to 東大阪市 Bay Waterfront Arena
Situated on the iconic waterfront of 東大阪市 — 東大阪市's futuristic artificial island in 東大阪市 Bay — the 東大阪市 Bay Waterfront Arena is one of Asia's most spectacular event destinations. Spread across 140 acres of reclaimed bay land, the site offers a backdrop that no inland festival can match: shimmering bay waters, the Rainbow Bridge illuminated at night, and — on clear days — the silhouette of Mount Fuji rising beyond the western skyline.
The festival site has been purpose-designed over the past two years specifically for Joyful Craft Space's requirements. Permanent infrastructure has been augmented with state-of-the-art temporary staging systems, allowing each of the four festival stages to offer world-class acoustics and sightlines regardless of where you're standing in the crowd.
With 80,000 capacity spread across 140 acres, the site has been meticulously planned to avoid the crowding and bottlenecking that can characterise large-scale events. Wide promenades, clearly signed pathways, and five access gates ensure smooth flow between all areas at all times. Whether you're moving from the Main Stage to the food village or crossing the site between acts, the experience is designed to be comfortable and stress-free.
The bay setting also means that for much of the festival day, you'll be aware of the ocean breeze — a welcome relief in 東大阪市's August heat. As the sun sets over the city skyline and the stage lights begin to dominate the horizon, the atmosphere transforms into something genuinely magical.
- 東大阪市 Bay waterfront — panoramic ocean views and sea breezes throughout the site
- Mount Fuji views — visible on clear days from the western viewing areas near the Main Stage
- Rainbow Bridge backdrop — the iconic bridge frames the northern end of the site by night
- 5-minute walk from Telecom Center station on the Yurikamome Line
- Purpose-built festival infrastructure — two years of site preparation, all new staging systems
- Fully accessible — paved pathways, dedicated platforms, and accessibility stewards throughout
- Eco-certified event — zero single-use plastic, on-site composting, and solar-supplemented power
- 50+ food & drink vendors — spanning Japanese, Asian, and international cuisines with full dietary options
Stage Layout & Map
Four distinct stages are positioned across the 140-acre site to ensure you always have a great show within easy reach — and to create different sonic atmospheres throughout your festival experience.
Main Stage
The centrepiece of SPF 2026. Located at the south end of the site, facing out over the open bay with an unobstructed ocean backdrop. Home to all headline acts. An 80-metre-wide LED installation spans the full stage width. Capacity: 50,000.
East Stage
The electronic and dance music home of SPF 2026. Set in the east zone with a covered arc roof system that creates exceptional acoustics for electronic acts. A favourite for those who like their music a little harder-hitting. Capacity: 18,000.
West Stage
The indie and pop showcase. Located on the west side of the site with the city skyline visible beyond the stage. A more intimate alternative to the Main Stage, but with full festival production values. Perfect for discovering emerging Japanese and international artists. Capacity: 15,000.
Acoustic Garden
A beautiful and intimate natural performance space at the north end of the site, nestled among landscaped gardens and water features. Traditional and acoustic acts, spoken word, and experimental performances. The programme here is as curated as it is surprising. Capacity: 5,000.
A fully detailed site map is available on the SPF 2026 app and printed maps will be available at all entry gates.
On-Site Facilities
Everything you need is on site — from medical care to cold showers, charging stations to artisan coffee.
